Fricktaler Museum Rheinfelden
When stones talk and objects tell stories... The Fricktal Museum makes the past in Rheinfelden and the Fricktal come alive for the whole family.
The majority of the exhibits have a direct connection to Rheinfelden or the Fricktal.
The museum invites visitors with various collection focal points from prehistory and early history to modern times. They provide regional and foreign visitors with interesting information about the history and art of the region. This makes the collection an important Fricktal institution.
Haus zur Sonne (house of the sun).
Also the furnishings of the house, partly in the original condition of the 19th century, like the Sonnenstube, the ground level courtyard or the imperial society on the first floor with oil paintings (18th century) from the Habsburg family offer a special ambience.
