General terms and conditions of Tourismus Rheinfelden

These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter: GTC) govern the contractual relationship between the Customer and Tourismus Rheinfelden (Marktgasse 16, 4310 Rheinfelden) for services for which Tourismus Rheinfelden itself acts as the provider (e.g. guided tours, packages, shop, etc.). These General Terms and Conditions must be accepted by the Customer at the time of ordering. The details are regulated in the following lines.

 

1. conditions for guided tours and packages

General conditions for guided tours

  • The group size is 24 persons, from 25 persons a second guide is automatically organized.
  • If, at the request of the customer, a second guide is not to be organised from the 25th person onwards, CHF 10 per person will be charged from the 25th to the 30th person. From the 31st person onwards, a second guide must be booked.
  • All guided tours can be booked individually and at any time. The guided tours take place in all weathers. Coffee or aperitif breaks can be included as desired. (Additional time will be charged).
  • Waiting times are charged at CHF 30 per half hour. Prices incl. VAT. Elementary school classes pay a lower rate.
  • Cancellation conditions: Up to three days before the tour it can be cancelled free of charge, two days before the tour 75% of the total price will be charged, afterwards the total price will be charged.

General conditions for public guided tours

  • The maximum group size is 30 people
  • Tickets can be purchased online at tourismus-rheinfelden.ch/fuehrungen or on site at the tourist office.
  • The price is per person. There are no discounts for children, adults, senior citizens, students, apprentices - except for the Family Tour.
  • Guided tours with costs must be paid in advance at the tourist office or to the city guide in cash or with TWINT. Online payments at the time of reservation are currently not possible. For the following guided tours, an invoice will be sent after receipt of the order: Segway, E-Scooter, BierBeizenBummel, SalzGourmetTour
  • Tickets can be purchased until shortly before the start of the event. Prior reservation of tickets is strongly recommended. Without a valid ticket, the city guides may turn away guests if the total number of participants exceeds 30. 
  • Due to the traceability of contacts, guests are required to provide their address and at least phone number or email. This can be done either when booking online or on site with the guides.

General conditions for the «BierBeizenBummel» and «SalzGourmetTour»

In addition to the general conditions for the city tours, the following points apply:

  • Group size is 8 - 25 persons, additional persons on request. Please let us know the definite number of persons and the definite starting time at least 3 days before the event.
  • All tours are on request and must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance. No changes can be made to the menu. Allergies and intolerances can be taken into account. Drinks for the main course/dessert are paid directly on site.
  • Free cancellation up to 4 days before the tour. Later cancellations will be charged in full.

 

General conditions for Segway tour and E-Scooter tour

  • The maximum group size is 30 persons, the minimum number of participants is 4 persons. The tours can be booked individually on request.
  • An extra charge of CHF 100.00 must be made if the destination is different from the starting point. The tours are carried out in all weathers.
  • The registered and confirmed number of participants is binding from 5pm the day before and can be charged in full. Prices incl. VAT. Waiting times will be charged at CHF 30 per 30 minutes.
  • Cancellation conditions: two working days before the tour 75% of the total price will be charged, on the day of the tour the total price will be charged.
  • Liability insurance is taken out for each Segway / E-Scooter (liability up to 2 million). There is no partial or full insurance for the Segway PT / E-Scooter. Each Segway / E-Scooter rider is considered an independent road user and signs the liability exclusion of Permo GmbH during the introduction.

 

General conditions for the Stand Up Paddling (SUP) guided tour

  • The maximum group size is 5 persons, the minimum number of participants is 2 persons. Tours are possible from May to October. Tours can be booked individually on request. Requirements: Participation from 12 years of age accompanied by an adult / from 17 years of age alone. No SUP knowledge necessary. The following utensils must be brought by the participants themselves: small bathing towel, bathing slippers/flip-flops, swimming trunks/bikini, sun cream, sunglasses (with ribbon), hat, possibly a T-shirt as well as a swimming bag/swimwear if available.
  • The following services are organized and provided by the organizer: Board with leash, paddle, life jacket, wetsuit if required, drinks, shuttle service from Rheinfelden swimming pool to Möhlin, admission to Rheinfelden swimming pool incl. use of infrastructure, meal with soft drink in the restaurant in accordance with advance booking (vegetarian or meat).
  • The organizer decides in consultation with the guest whether the tour can take place or not due to the weather. If the water level is too high, the tour can either be postponed or the route Stein - Möhlin can be offered as an alternative.
  • The registered and confirmed number of participants is binding from 5pm the day before and can be charged in full. Prices include VAT; waiting times will be charged at CHF 30 per 30 minutes.
  • Cancellation conditions: Free cancellation up to 2 days before the tour. After that 50% will be charged.
  • Accident insurance is the responsibility of the participants. During the SUP tour, participants are insured for third party damages (personal injury and property damage) through Stonesurf's business liability insurance.

 

General conditions for the offer «Beer, Salt & Rhine»

  • The offer is valid from April to October from Tuesday to Saturday and can be booked for groups of 10 persons or more. All services can only be booked according to availability.
  • Would you like to extend your «Beer, Salt & Rhine» experience and add a stay in Rheinfelden or an aperitif at the Salt Museum in Pratteln? Please let us know in advance so that we can book the appropriate services for you.
  • If the date for the «Beer, Salt & Rhine» experience cannot be kept, there is also the possibility of purchasing the services at a later date. In this case, please contact the Tourismus Rheinfelden team (see cancellation conditions). After checking availability with the service providers, a new confirmation will be sent to you.
  • Cancellation free of charge up to 4 days before the tour. Later cancellations will be charged in full.

 

General terms and conditions for the «Schifffahrt und Rheinfelder Geschichte» offer

  • The group offer is valid during the boat season from April to October (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday). A second guide will be organised for groups of 25 or more. Please inform us 7 working days before the event about the exact number of persons. The guided tours take place in all weather conditions.
  • Cancellation conditions: Cancellation of the trip must be made in writing. The following costs will be charged in the event of cancellation or no-show:
    • Cancellation up to 4 days before the event: no costs
    • No cancellation, 3 days before the event until the day of the event: 100% of the costs.

 

General conditions for the «BeerWellness» offer

  • The package offer is valid from April to December on all weekdays except during trade fairs. All services can only be booked subject to availability.
  • Would you like to extend your «BeerWellness» day by one or more nights? You can let us know when you make your reservation or, for spontaneous travellers, you can ask us on the spot at the hotel in question.
  • If the date for the «BeerWellness» Day cannot be kept, there is also the possibility of obtaining the services at a later date. In this case, please contact the Tourismus Rheinfelden team (see cancellation conditions). After checking availability with the service providers, new vouchers will be sent to you. Please return the unused vouchers to us.
  • The cancellation conditions are as follows:
    • Cancellation up to 5 days before the event: no costs
    • Cancellation up to 2 days before the booked event: 50% of the costs
    • No cancellation or less than 24 hours before the booked event: 100% of the costs

 

General terms and conditions for the «Genusswochenende in Rheinfelden» offer

  • The package can be booked from Saturday to Sunday. The hotel rooms can only be booked subject to availability.
  • If you would like to extend the wellness days by one or more nights, they can let us know at the time of booking or, for spontaneous travellers, they can also enquire on site at the hotel in question.
  • If the date for the package cannot be kept, there is also the possibility of taking the services at a later date. In this case, the customer should contact the Tourismus Rheinfelden team (see cancellation conditions). After checking availability with the service providers, new vouchers will be sent to the customer. Please return any unused vouchers.
  • The cancellation conditions are as follows:
  • Cancellation up to 48h before the overnight stay: no costs.
  • Cancellation up to 24h before the overnight stay: 50% of the costs
  • No cancellation or less than 24 hours before the overnight stay: 100% of the costs.

 

General conditions for the «Nachhaltiges Rheinfelden» offer

  • The package offer is valid from January to November. Arrival possible from Tuesday to Sunday (Brauwelt is closed on Monday/Tuesday). All services can only be booked subject to availability. Booking at least 7 days in advance.
  • Overnight stay at Ambrosia Guesthouse: Check-In: from 5pm/ Check-Out: until 11.30am. For earlier or later arrival contact Ambrosia Guesthouse directly.
  • The price for the package is Fr. 188.- per person in a double room and Fr. 181.- per person in a triple room.
  • If the date for the package cannot be met, there is also the possibility to receive the services at a later date. In this case, the guest must notify Tourismus Rheinfelden (in accordance with the cancellation conditions).
  • The cancellation conditions are as follows:
    • Cancellation up to 5 days before the booked offer : no costs
    • Cancellation up to 2 days before the booked offer: 50% of the costs
    • No cancellation or less than 24 hours before the booked offer: 100% of the costs.

 

2. sale of merchandising articles by Tourismus Rheinfelden

The sale of merchandising articles by Tourismus Rheinfelden is governed exclusively by the provisions of the Swiss Code of Obligations on sales (OR 184ff).

 

3. data protection

Tourismus Rheinfelden undertakes to treat personal data (data relating to a specific or identifiable person) in accordance with the provisions of Swiss data protection legislation. In this regard, reference is made to the data protection declaration of Tourismus Rheinfelden.

 

4. common final provisions

Adjustment of these GTC

Tourismus Rheinfelden reserves the right to amend these GTC at any time. The version valid at the time will be published on www.tourismus-rheinfelden.ch and will apply to orders placed after the date of publication. The version valid at the time of the order shall be decisive in each case.

 

Place of jurisdiction and applicable law

The contractual relationship between Tourismus Rheinfelden and the Customer shall be governed exclusively by Swiss law. Subject to a mandatory place of jurisdiction, the courts at the registered office of Tourismus Rheinfelden shall be responsible for disputes between Tourismus Rheinfelden and the Customer.
