Spring awakening
Rheinfelden welcomes numerous guests to its annual spring awakening in 2024 too. On Wednesday, May 1, the stores will be open, there will be public tours of the town and other attractions. Culinary delights will be provided by local restaurateurs with numerous catering options on the street.
The old town of Rheinfeld invites you.
Over 60 stores in the old town are open for you. There will be a fashion show, shows and musical performances on the stage at Zähringerplatz. If you want to get up high, visit the Storchennestturm and enjoy the beautiful view over the town.

There are a number of highlights to experience at three locations at the Spring Awakening. Put together your own program.
Zähringerplatz:
- 11:00 to 16:00: DJ "Fred Licci"
- 13:00 and 15:00: Fashion show
- 14:00: Fitness session and yoga class to join in
- 16:30: Band "the silver lining souls"
Albrechtsplatz:
- 15:00: Performance "Mia Reding & Lucas Hettinger"
Schifflände:
- The band "Jukebox" plays in the afternoon
Public city tour.
Want a view of the town? The Storchennestturm opens its doors from 11:00 to 17:00 for all those who want to get up high. Enjoy the spectacular view of the old town. Guided tours of the tower take place every hour on the hour (last tour at 4.00 pm).
Take the opportunity to discover the new city tour "Of saints, dragons and devils". Participation is free, but booking is strongly recommended due to high demand.
Spring awakening at the Fricktal Museum and City Library.
Discover a variety of free activities offered by the Ficktal Museum and the municipal library in front of the "Haus zur Sonne" at Marktgasse 12. Get involved in the museum's new design, make your own fan or discover the art of paper-making. There is something for everyone.

The Basler Personenschifffahrt boat offers lock trips from Basel to Rheinfelden for the spring awakening. Hop on board, let yourself be pampered and travel in complete relaxation.

Annual motto.
Rheinfelden has had an annual motto for 18 years, and 2024 will be the 19th time. The aim is to inform and raise awareness among the population about topics that will affect the town in the coming year.
Naturally, the theme of enjoyment fits in perfectly with the diverse program at Spring Awakening. Culture, culinary delights, nature and sport - enjoy the Zähringerstädtli!
