Altstadt Rheinfelden mit Rhein und Brücke Aargau Tourismus

Rheinfelden - an unknown Swiss pearl

Switzerland, the country of small towns with a big presence. Switzerland Tourism and the Federal Office of Culture have listed 80 Swiss gems from all parts of the country in the "In love with beautiful places" project. Rheinfelden is one of them.

Unusual, unknown Swiss villages.

Names of municipalities that have hardly been on any travel list so far, even though they are worth seeing and all belong to the Federal Inventory of Swiss Sites of National Importance (ISOS): 80 of these ISOS sites are listed in the "In love with beautiful places" project initiated by Switzerland Tourism and the Federal Office of Culture. They stand out due to their history, construction and architecture, are valuable to tourists and represent their region in a typical way.

Wonderful excursion destinations spread across all cantons.

The 80 towns and villages can be easily discovered along the Grand Tour of Switzerland. They complement the road trip through Switzerland with attractive stops.

The "In love with beautiful places" project launched in 2019 with selected towns and villages is now being rolled out across the whole of Switzerland. The places present themselves to interested parties and visitors with up-to-date pictures, a description and, in some cases, videos. There is also an illustrated book about the villages, in which some "beautiful places" are presented and honored on over 300 pages - in the national languages German, French and Italian. Each canton and half-canton is represented with at least one village.
