On Tuesday, December 31, 2024, the New Year's Eve celebration of the two Rheinfelden will take place. A dazzling firework display with musical accompaniment will set the mood for the New Year shortly after midnight. Beforehand, New Year's Eve will be rung in with contemplative events.

On the evenings of December 24 at 11 pm and December 31 at 9 pm, the Sebastiani Fountain Singing takes place. Twelve men dressed in black parade from fountain to fountain with a lantern in the dark Old Town. The brotherhood was founded in 1541 during a plague epidemic in Rheinfelden and is named after the patron saint of plague sufferers, St. Sebastian. The tour is followed by an organ concert in the town church of St. Martin.
