Fotospot Grand Tour of Switzerland

Photo spot Grand Tour of Switzerland

The Grand Tour of Switzerland celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2025. The approximately 1,600-kilometre round trip leads from Basel towards the Jura and passes Hallwyl Castle in the canton of Aargau, among other places. Now a new photo spot is being inaugurated at the western tip of the canton - the third Grand Tour location in Aargau.

The Rheinfelden photo spot.

The Grand Tour of Switzerland photo spot is located on the Burgstell, the place where Rheinfelden was founded. From here you have a wonderful view of the Rhine, the old Rhine bridge connecting Rheinfelden in Switzerland and Germany and the picturesque old town facade of the oldest Zähringer town in Switzerland.

The journey is the destination.

The Grand Tour of Switzerland allows you to discover the tourist highlights of Switzerland on a unique round trip. Selected viewpoints along the route are marked with red photo spots. They mark tourist attractions and invite guests to visit the locations, take photos and share their impressions on social media. Although Rheinfelden is not directly on the route of the Grand Tour of Switzerland, it is only a 20-minute drive away.
