Baselbieter Vine Route - e-bike tour
The newly signposted SwitzerlandMobility Cycle Route 115, the Baselbieter Reben-Route, leads through idyllic vineyards and captivates with wonderful views over the Jura landscape and the Black Forest.
Explorer Tour from Rheinfelden to the Vineyards.
The circular tour starts at the Rheinfelden train station and passes by the impressive castle of the Feldschlösschen brewery. After a gentle ascent through the forest, you reach Olsberg, where the former Cistercian convent offers a glimpse into the past. The vast plateau between Arisdorf and Olsberg offers breathtaking panoramas – the distinctive Roche towers of Basel seem within arm's reach.
The journey continues to Hersberg, an idyllic village away from hustle and bustle. Here, you can plan a small detour to Lausen before returning to the main route.
Vineyards, Forest, and Beautiful Views.
In the following kilometers, the first vineyards line the path – especially in autumn when the vines glow in vibrant yellow and red, the landscape is a dream. In Buus and Maisprach, wine cellars and farm shops invite you to sample local delicacies. Along the route, information boards provide insights into the different grape varieties and wine cultivation – a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of viticulture.
The route continues through Magden, where winemaking has been documented since the year 1036. Back in Rheinfelden, a visit to the charming old town with its cozy cafés, restaurants, and small shops is worth it. History enthusiasts can embark on an exciting journey through time with an audio guide.
