Baselbieter Vine Route - e-bike tour
The newly signposted SwitzerlandMobility Cycle Route 115, the Baselbieter Reben-Route, leads through idyllic vineyards and captivates with wonderful views over the Jura landscape and the Black Forest.
Discovery tour from Rheinfelden to the vines.
The circular tour starts at Rheinfelden railroad station and leads past the imposing castle of the Feldschlösschen brewery. After a gentle climb through the forest, you reach Olsberg, where the former Cistercian monastery offers a glimpse into the past. The wide plateau between Arisdorf and Olsberg offers breathtaking panoramas - the striking Roche towers of Basel seem close enough to touch.
The route continues to Hersberg, an idyllic village away from the hustle and bustle. Here you can plan a short detour to Lausen before returning to the main route.
Vines, forest and beautiful views.
Over the next few kilometers, the first vineyards line the route - the landscape is a dream, especially in autumn when the vines shine in bright yellow and red. In Buus and Maisprach, wine cellars and farm stores invite you to sample regional delicacies. Along the route, information boards provide information about the different grape varieties and winegrowing - a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of viticulture.
The route continues via Magden, where viticulture has been documented since 1036. Back in Rheinfelden, the charming old town with its cozy cafés, restaurants and small stores is well worth a visit.
