The cunning tailor in the goat costume takes families with children and school classes on a tour of Rheinfelden

The legend of the goat & the tailor.

In the Middle Ages, the Swedes besieged the town. But the tailor used a trick to drive the besiegers away.
Climb the Stork Nest Tower and look down on the Old Town from above. A visit to the little goats, which today graze in front of the city wall, is also part of this tour designed for children.

City tour for children.

The tour is aimed at school classes, kindergartens and families. For children's birthday parties, excursions or practical lessons, the tours are an experience for young and old. City guide Stephan Schöttli is a former teacher and designed this tour. He tells the medieval legend in a way that is suitable for children. His wife Simone designed and sewed the goat costume herself.

The eastern tower of the old town is home to the storks. The tower room can be rented and offers a view of the roofs of the old town.

The tailor and the goat saved Rheinfelden from the Swedes. Visit the real Rheinfelden goats in their home at the Storchennestturm.

We are happy to accommodate your individual wishes. Do you have participants with walking difficulties? Please let us know so that the guides can take this into consideration. The route will then be planned in such a way that sufficient seating is available at short intervals. City tours are also possible for people in wheelchairs. The tour and sights are slightly adapted so that no insurmountable stairs prevent the experience.

People in wheelchairs or with walking disabilities can take part in this tour. Only the Stork Nest Tower cannot be visited.
