The Gasthaus zum Löwen has a long history steeped in tradition. The property at Obertorplatz 8 was first mentioned back in 1463. It is one of the oldest inns in the city and has served as a meeting place for travelers, locals and merchants for centuries.
In summer, guests of the Löwen enjoy the fresh air on Obertorplatz and the view of the Obertor Tower, whose clock always strikes 8 minutes before the hour.
